Description
Belle Angèle maritime festival
The Fête de La Belle Angèle will once again be livening up the quays of Pont-Aven! Get ready to welcome around thirty sailing ships listed as Maritime Heritage, including several Historic Monuments. Plunge into the heart of maritime history and let yourself be carried away by the magic of a unique event.
An authentic and passionate gathering
This day is an opportunity to celebrate our precious maritime heritage and share our passion for the sea. This gathering, nestled in the peaceful harbour of Pont-Aven, is hosted by real sea wolves, accessible and passionate, who share their love of heritage with fervour. The musicians, imbued with this joyfully iodised atmosphere, enhance the sense of well-being by adding their catchy notes.
On the programme: from discovery to amazement
Discovery: admire magnificent traditional sailing ships, listen to the stories of seasoned sailors and soak up the authentic atmosphere of the port. Exhibition stands, including those of the SNSM and La Belle Angèle, will also be on hand to help you discover these worlds.
Entertainment: let yourself be carried away by the sea chanteys, world music and frenzied rhythms.
Marvel: watch a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the sky and the Ker Botrel hillside as night falls.
Practical information
Admission to the festival is free. The event is largely financed by the consumption of home-made crêpes, mussels, sausages, merguez sausages and chips, accompanied by cider or other drinks served at the refreshment stands. All proceeds go to help preserve our maritime heritage.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all our benefactors, donors, volunteers, the communes of the Pays de l'Aven and especially the shopkeepers of Pont-Aven.
Come and celebrate our maritime heritage during a festive and convivial day.
