Description
Joseph is a temporary worker. From slaughterhouse cleaner to whelk sorter, he takes on gruelling, low-paid jobs in conditions that are often degrading. What keeps him going is that he once had a different life. He is familiar with the Latin authors, he was moved by Dumas, he knows Apollinaire’s poems and Trenet’s songs. This is his temporary victory over everything that causes pain, everything that alienates.
The 2L theatre company at Le Quintal has taken on this poignant autobiographical text by Joseph Ponthus, adapting it into a powerful one-man show
