⚓Ile de Groix: To get to the island of Groix, which is 8km long and 3km wide, as soon as you board the boat you’ll pass through the various ports in Lorient harbour (passenger, commercial, fishing, pleasure and military) and then the citadel of Port-Louis, the last rampart to the open sea. It’s the perfect introduction to the island’s history, before we turn our attention to the island’s history book.

⚓Belle Ile en Mer: a 45-minute cruise will take you to the largest of the Breton islands (9 km wide and 20 km long) via its capital, Le Palais, sheltered behind its Vauban citadel, or via the small flower-filled port of Sauzon. It was in its colourful valleys, fragile dunes and small coves that Belle-Ile “the well-named” inspired Alexandre Dumas, Monet, Sarah Bernhardt and many others…

⚓Houat: 14 km off the coast of Quiberon, separated from its twin sister Hoëdic by 8 km of blue water, Houat is a peaceful island that has always been free from motorised vehicles. The fishing village of Port-Saint-Gildas will be the starting point for your walks between the gentle white beaches and rugged reefs. As in the first Celtic springs, these carpets of mauve moors or lawns of graceful little flowers will reveal to you the original sense of sounds, scents, colours…

⚓Hoëdic: A few miles from Houat, once you’ve crossed the Passage des Soeurs, Hoëdic comes into view. Smaller, lower, but shaped from the same granite rock that has stood the test of the worst storms. It’s in a landscape of undisturbed silence, dotted with thousands of multicoloured flowers, that the island of Hoëdic welcomes you for unforgettable walks.
