Stone houses with blue shutters, the cries of seagulls, the smell of crêpes wafting through the air – there’s no doubt you’re in Brittany!
Seascapes
Something for everyone
Whether you’re a fan of lazing on the beach, strolling along the seafront, water sports or boat trips, La Forêt-Fouesnant offers a wide choice of activities to make the most of the town’s attractions.
Eyes in the blue
From the Vieux Port to the Port-la-Forêt marina, via the coastal path, you’ll discover what the Breton colour “glaz” means: a subtle blend of blue and green, the colour of the sea in particular.
Proud of our culture
Bretons are very attached to their Brittany, but are happy to share it with others…

A lively region
Breton culture is deeply rooted in La Forêt-Fouesnant, and is passed on throughout the year through numerous shows and events:
- The Cherry Festival, a traditional Breton festival held every year at the end of June/beginning of July.
- Les Nuits Celtiques de Peniti, free shows and concerts every Wednesday in July and August.
- Fest Noz, a Breton dance festival.
- The commune has a dense network of associations, including the Cercle Celtique “Ar Bleuniou Kignez” and the Dorn Ha Dorn association, which keep traditions alive through song, music and dance.
Lush vegetation
Thanks to a generous climate, our natural landscapes are of unparalleled beauty.
Colourful flowers
La Forêt-Fouesnant is no exception, with its gardens and parks bursting with flowers: hydrangeas, azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, agapanthus… a real feast for the eyes. Spring is a special time of year.
For many years, La Forêt-Fouesnant has maintained its 3-flower status in the Villes Fleuries competition.
Seaside plants
The salt water from the ocean allows glasswort, obione, sea fennel and many other plants to flourish along the seashore.
La Forêt-Fouesnant: a concentrate of Brittany!
