Description
Follow in the footsteps of the area’s industrial heritage on a walk that will bring to life the incredible history of the kaolin industry, founded in 1919 by Jean de Saisy de Kerampuil. The water tower, settling tanks and drying kilns are the last remaining reminders of this industry. This tour, led by the enthusiastic and engaging volunteers from the Riec, Mémoire & Avenir association, will even give you the chance to discover the town’s unique ‘Mont-Blanc’. Make the most of this opportunity to explore the beautiful permanent exhibition on site, which will round off the story of this incredible chapter in the town’s history.
Meet at 2 pm in the Kaolins car park for the start of the guided tour.
