Description
As part of the Théâtre de Lorient's "En Itinérance" programme.
Retours, for the eternal return of a son who disappears in an avalanche and returns to his parents' home, only to disappear and return again, again and again, adding to the comedy of the situation. With family nuclei and parent-child relationships as its favourite theme, the rhythm of this text, like a police investigation, gently builds proximity and tension. In this seemingly hyper-real drama - the living and dining room of a modern house - Retours gradually shifts us into a fantastical dimension where temporal markers crumble and, from situation to situation, creates a singular and cruel comedy.
