Description

Pierre Jouvencel writes and performs his plays as a one-man show. This year he returns with *Apollinaire*. In 1916, Apollinaire was on the front line at Bois des Buttes in the Chemin des Dames sector when he was hit in the head by shrapnel. Before help arrives, he recalls his loves – Lou, Madeleine and Marie – but also his mother, who never really loved him, and his friends from the Bateau Lavoir, particularly Picasso. He also reflects on his commitment to fighting for France, despite not being French himself and having had to go through numerous formalities to be able to defend the country. Free admission. Kouigns and refreshments available on site. The event will be moved to the Triskell in the event of bad weather. Organised by the Friends of Lambour.
