Description
For its fourth edition, the Rencontres du port de Brigneau invites the public to take part in two days of reflection, discussion and discovery centred on a key question: ‘Where is the world heading? What is coming to an end? What is beginning? ”
On the programme: a comic strip exhibition, a dramatised reading, meetings with authors, a writing workshop, a concert and musical events. Speakers will tackle themes as varied as the passing on of knowledge, the oceans, ecology, memory, literature and forms of cultural resistance.
A weekend to take the time to listen, exchange ideas, reflect… and be surprised by sensitive perspectives on today’s world.
Saturday 22 August:
11.30 am: Opening ceremony – Exhibition of comic strips from *On a mangé la mer* by Maxime de Lisle and Olivier Martin
12.00 pm: Lunch at Les Penn Sardines
2.00 pm: Dramatised reading with Ronan MANCEC – A poetic text tracing a family tree, exploring the theme of transmission
4.00 pm: Maxime de Lisle, “On a mangé la Mer” – A comic exploring the fishing crisis with the hope of preserving our planet
5.30 pm: Sigolène VINSON, “Le Butor étoilé” and “La Requine” – An eco-poetic novel celebrating the beauty of encounters, the power of friendship, and the fragility and beauty of life
7.30 pm: Latin-Cuban music concert by Tropica Combo
Sunday 23 August:
10.00 am: Writing workshop with Betty Marescaux Tyteca (see this event)
4.00 pm: Arnaud IDELON, “Culture low Cost” – In a restrictive context, culture devises forms of resistance, offering grounds for hope in the face of future challenges.
5.30 pm: Barbara MONROSE, “La fille du sud” – A novel exploring intimacy and emotional memory that never completely fades away
7.30 pm: Jam session with La Vache qui Siffle
