Chapel of Moustoir and the manor house of Kermadéoua
The chapel of Saint-Maurice du Moustoir in Kernével, completed in 1538, is believed to have been built on a hermitage taken over by the Templars and then the Cistercians of Carnoët Abbey, founded by Saint-Maurice.
Situated on the Roman road from Quimper to Vannes, this chapel was a stopping place for pilgrims on the Tro Breiz.
The manor house at Kermadéoua was built by the Goardets, a family from the bishopric of Nantes. One of them was rector
of the parish of Kernével for almost 50 years in the 17th century. The manor house is remarkable for its tower and dovecote.
