To mark the publication of his collection of short stories, *La mécanique du monde*, Stéphane Rosière will be reading from several of the stories.
The fourteen short stories in the collection feature characters confronted with unsettling apparitions, rationales that are beyond their comprehension, inhuman behaviour or crimes that haunt them. Faced with these events, they all seek to resist and find a way out.
A poet, short-story writer and novelist, Stéphane Rosière spent many years pursuing an academic career as a geographer before devoting himself fully to writing. He is the author of several collections of poetry, numerous short stories published in magazines, and several novels.
