The Réveil du Goyen is an intergenerational celebration combining the arts, science and memory. Throughout the year, workshops are held with residents of the Goyen catchment area. In the spring, each edition highlights a water-related work during a special event on the river. In 2026, we'll be honouring the washhouses ... and the invisible worlds they shelter! Join us on 13 and 14 June for a weekend along the Goyen to inaugurate a trail of works in the washhouses and discover the natural aquatic environments of our beautiful estuary. On the programme: songs, arts and science activities around water, matrimonial walks, and a plethora of stories! -------------- Saturday 13th June -------------- 9.30am Workshop to discover the plankton of the Goyen (3h) Restaurant Le Du, 2 Rue Voltaire Organised by the Ystopia association 2.30pm Art & heritage walk (1h15) Keridreuff car park, 1 rue Voltaire A guided tour, accessible to all, of the wash-houses on the banks of the Goyen. 8.30pm Night Washwomen's Vigil (2h) Keridreuff washhouse, 1 rue Voltaire (behind the car park and the old canning factory) coule ~ acqueous polyphonic singing Maud Plantec Villeneuve & Nina Chiron tordre chagrin ~ readings and songs to the ghosts of the washhouses Juliette Brishoual délaver saint vaal ~ dance & visual arts performance Lee Scuma ---------------- Sunday 14th June ---------------- 10.00 Water walk (3h) La Croix washhouse, Rue des Lauriers A procession through the washhouses in the presence of the artists: meet the works, discover biodiversity, memories of washerwomen, surprises along the water. 1pm Shared picnic at the washhouse ~ bring your own lunch :-) From 2pm ~ Village de l'eau ~ (Water Village) Moulin de Pen Ar C'han (and its washhouse), rue du Goyen ~ Exhibition "awakening our washhouses" (archives, original and participative creations) ~ Mini-Forest Cool stand (nature-based education: games, sensory discoveries & patouille cooking) ~ Liquid bookshop (La pluie d'été) ~ Radio Lavoir" listening area 2.30pm Craft and biodiversity workshops at the washhouse (2h) ~ Nature education workshop (Forest Cool) ~ Water "thread" workshop (crochet, embroidery and basketry) ~ Carte Blanche with artist Juliette Brishoual 5pm Water Choir
