Description
La Littorale | Sandrine Bodénès | Sylvain Levey
Chloé is 15 years old. Having grown up in a rural area, she doesn’t quite feel she belongs there, nor does she feel she’s in quite the right family either. She attends an agricultural college, where she meets Donovan, the boy everyone makes fun of, and Arès, who provokes hostility because he isn’t from round here. Together, they draw us into a coming-of-age story.
Adolescence lies at the heart of this story. It follows Chloé, from Monday to Saturday, through her daily life, on the farm and at school, but also through her rebellious and poetic thoughts. Whilst it tackles toxic family dynamics, societal and agricultural issues, and the dreams of adolescence, this one-woman show also evokes joy and hope.
