Description
‘Fil·s d’histoire·s’ brings together an anonymous collective, a tangled web of threads, which, one thing leading to another, leads us to a bond of transmission and memory – familial, cultural, community-based…
From mother to daughter, the thread of life speaks of territories – in the plural – that of a gesture, a region, an idea, a status, a lineage, a secret, a revelation and survival.
Artisanal craftsmanship—the time to settle down, to pause, to learn how to make, to practise—unfolds with a certain sense of seasonality. We pull the thread that unravels and twists through the ages. Gordian knots, about which there is still much to be said.
In a spirit of joy and camaraderie, we discuss motherhood, nature, illness and pleasure. These gatherings are predominantly made up of women, with a few men scattered amongst them.
Members of civil society, amateurs and, strangely enough, active participants in an intangible cultural heritage, who ‘strive to keep it alive, recreate it and pass it on’.
