Cinémathèque de Bretagne and Zoom Bretagne are joining forces to offer a dedicated programme of audio-visual archives and contemporary short films. The screening is in three parts: A "local memory" pre-programme based on local archive footage from the collections of Cinémathèque de Bretagne - 5 min. Brittany by Jean Epstein (1936) - 22min59 Jean Epstein made this beautiful documentary for the 1937 Paris International Exhibition. Throughout his film career, the director has shared his view of Brittany, taking an interest in all aspects that evoke the region: traditions, crafts, landscapes... Mr Epstein takes the viewer on a journey through Brittany in the 1930s! A programme of contemporary short films - 1h Zoom Bretagne presents 5 short films shot in Brittany, each of which, in its own way, represents Brittany today.
