Synopsis
Wandering penniless in Indiana, Friendless is a wanderer driven by the search for fortune.
"Go west, young man, go west" is the message from a statue of Horace Greeley, pointing to the opportunities on the horizon that promise a better tomorrow. He ends up on a ranch where he forms a deep and unique friendship with a cow that he later tries to save from certain death.
