Description

From child to grandmother, from the raï singer Cheikha Rimitti to the Hottentot Venus and on to the Iranian revolutionary women, this solo piece brings to life, through the body and the voice, figures of women who fall ‘outside the norm’. The body and the face are veiled and unveiled, giving rise to a parade of masks. In a sort of puppet theatre consisting solely of a table, a chair, a lamp and a video projector, *Histoire(s) Décoloniale(s)#Dalila* oscillates between interrogation, intimate confession and life story. With the choreographic series *Histoire(s) Décoloniale(s)*, Betty Tchomanga continues her exploration of the narratives and stories that link the West and Africa. Performer: Dalila Khatir + discussion with the artists after the performance In partnership with the CCA media library network. Betty Tchomanga – GANG is an associate artist with Danse à tous les étages 2024–2027. Two performances (25 September at 6.00 pm and 26 September at 5.00 pm) Duration: 1 hour, suitable for ages 12 and over. Tickets available from the tourist office or at the venue, subject to availability
