Description
With ‘Dirau’ – a Basque word evoking that which endures and is constantly transforming – the Bilaka collective explores the connection between
tradition and the momentum of the present.
Drawing on the rhythms and steps of Basque dance, the performers embark on a choreographic exploration where walking becomes dance, and silence becomes movement.
Gradually, the bodies allow themselves to be carried by rhythms that shift, change and reinvent themselves. The result is a
powerful dance, imbued with the collective’s energy and a desire for freedom.
Performers: Arthur Barat, Zibel Damestoy, Ioritz Galarraga, Oihan Indart
