Description
Exhibition by João Macul.
Born in Curitiba, João Macul has been travelling around Brazil since he was 17. Whilst working with an NGO, sensitive social issues in the country led him to photography and then to film, always driven by the same aim: to bring to light the creative essence of his country. Now based in Rennes, he continues to photograph it and raise its profile in Europe.
This exhibition stems from several visits to the Jequitinhonha Valley, through which the Royal Road runs: the route taken during the gold and diamond mining era in Minas Gerais, from the late 17th century onwards.
During the media library’s opening hours.
