Description
Exhibition by Joris Le Dain
A young painter from Brittany, Joris Le Dain is a jack of all trades: he is an illustrator, a drawing teacher and a member of the Académie des Arts et Sciences de la Mer. He's also the youngest painter and cartoonist in the audience: perhaps you've already seen his work in Ouest France? For the summer season, he's delighting us with his paintings of the Moëlannais coast.
"My research is based on observing light. My work is captured on the spot, on site, in all weathers, so that I can best convey my perceptions of the moment. I mainly paint the rocks by the sea, landscapes that capture the light in a masterly way and that offer me an infinite number of subjects, to the rhythm of the seasons. Like a bottle thrown into the sea, I send my paintings out to those who can find a message in them. Joris Le Dain
