An accomplished piano virtuoso, Thérèse Wartel was acclaimed by her contemporaries and, above all, established herself as the leading exegete of Beethoven's works in France. As a composer and music critic, she was at the centre of the artistic ferment of the Romantic era. Spotlight on this unjustly forgotten musician and her contemporaries!
