Description
Ludovic Rocher, a woodworker from Douarnenez, will be giving a hands-on demonstration of a pole lathe in front of the Tourist Office. This medieval, low-tech wood-turning lathe is once again relevant in an age of climate change and rising fossil fuel costs. You’ll be able to ask questions and even have a go at making your own wood shavings on this simple yet incredible machine. You’ll also have the chance to buy wooden items that are guaranteed to be 100 per cent handmade and 0 per cent CO₂.
