Description
Marquis, formerly Marquis de Sade, are hitting the road again in 2026 with a streamlined line-up (guitar, bass, drums, saxophone and vocals), in a sharp, no-nonsense format where every instrument is more prominent than before.
Returning with a new line-up, tailor-made for the stage, required a major reworking of the tracks. This is also part of Marquis’s very DNA; the band has always sought to push boundaries and step outside a comfort zone that’s too mainstream.
With this reformation, Marquis explores new, refined and edgy territories, where light and shadow balance an incandescent and often cult-status repertoire, ranging from Marquis de Sade’s signature tracks to reworked Marquis songs.
The return to the stage of rock’s aristocracy – the date is set!
GUEULES NOIRES ELECTRO:
Building on the Gueules Noires project, the artist Dierick revisits and further radicalises his artistic vision.
An unexpected encounter between avant-garde electro and incisive rock guitar playing in the tradition of Jeff Beck and Adrian Belew. Dierick propels the voices of miners and African slaves – the ‘Gueules Noires’ – into a breathtaking post-modernist dynamic. He sings with the energy of John Lydon (PIL) and the lyrical flair of Bashung.
Dierick will premiere this new electro-rock format at La Loco, kicking off the 2026–2027 tour.
