Description
Élodie Jaffré and Awena Lucas form a voice/harp duo inspired by traditional themes and songs from Lower Brittany. Passionate about music for dancing and listening, their repertoire takes us into a rich and varied universe: gwerzioù, sonioù, kanha diskan and other songs for dancing or marching from Central Brittany and the Paysvannetais. Since 2016, the two musicians have naturally developed a close relationship and a sensitivity to their art that they love to pass on to the public. Their years of collaboration and concerts have enabled them to develop a magnificent repertoire that they bring to audiences with elegance and virtuosity. Their debut album 'Er vammenn' will be released in 2019 (Selaou & Coop Breizh). Both have won several awards for their singing and harp performances (Kan ha diskan, Kan ar bobl, Festival international de harpe...), and their latest album KANOUR NOZ, created with double bass player Yann Le Bozec, won first prize for the album sung in the Breton language at the Prizioù 2023 (France 3Bretagne and Office de la langue bretonne).
