Description
Jack et les Anémones is a vocal group founded in southern Bigouden in 2012 by Félicie Garric and Jean-Luc Brosse, both professional musicians, and comprising around fifteen volunteers who meet every Tuesday evening. Driven solely by the joy of singing, they perform in a wide variety of venues depending on requests and their availability, sharing moments of fun and camaraderie. The name ‘Jack et les Anémones’ was inspired by the first song we worked on (‘Fiche Le Camp Jack’) and the venue where we rehearse (the former Salle des Anémones).
What’s in the repertoire? It consists of French and English-language songs from the 1940s to the present day. Pop, Doo Wop, Rock ’n’ Roll, Swing, ballads… the list goes on. The songs are chosen to allow for vocal harmonies involving two or three parts, with each member having the opportunity to sing sometimes as a lead and sometimes in the backing vocals. The arrangements are original and personalised, and the performance is dynamic.
