Emezi is a duo comprising Perynn and Elise, two singers who write songs in the Breton language, blending jazz and pop, soul and R&B. They are performing in the village of Bannalec. Their influences include Beyoncé, Mayra Andrade, Doja Cat, Mahalia, and many other pop, hip-hop and R&B singers who emphasise vocals, groove and a strong pop visual identity. With backgrounds in choral singing and jazz (Elise) and Breton folk and opera singing (Perynn), they initially presented an acoustic, intimate, vocal style accompanied by piano. Their debut EP ‘Tentadur’ (Temptation), released in 2022, marked a shift towards a more danceable, more polished and more pop-oriented repertoire. Emezi: a pop and groove duo with powerful voices and infectious energy. A concert not to be missed in Bannalec!
