The May Trio is made up of Meffe Wacrenien on soprano, Annaëlle Diridollou on clarinet and Yorgos Papaefstratiou on piano and voice. For this concert, they will be performing works by Handel and Monteverdi. With Barocco mio - 'The song of crowns' - the Trio MAY explores the sovereign figures of Baroque opera, between the glitter of power and the vertigo of passions. From Handel to Monteverdi, queens and emperors reveal their frailties behind their majesty. Between poignant lamentations, amorous duets and virtuoso outbursts, the music becomes the true song of crowns, a vibrant mirror of the grandeur and solitude of power.
