‘Let’s Get the Ball Rolling’ offers a discussion centred on local dance hall stories, bridging the gap between collective memory and personal narratives.
Through accounts from local residents and in the presence of choreographer Massimo Fusco, the event explores what dancing at a ball means in people’s lives and local communities.
Through memories, traditions and contemporary practices, a sensitive map of the ball as a social, cultural and living space takes shape.
