It opens on a spring Sunday with four friends sharing a picnic in a park. We then meet them again in the same park with the changing of the seasons. Four seasons, and with them the cyclical return of the little things: the picnic blanket on the grass, the taste of the cake, the walk around the lake. Four seasons and a catastrophe that spreads across the landscape, swallowing up without warning those who were having lunch there and seemed so peaceful, so tenderly bound together the first time. Four seasons and the disruption of intimate relationships, the gradual disappearance of the bond, the abandonment of certainties…
