Description
From 28th April to 9th May, the 1000 Race opens a new chapter in its history by integrating the IMOCA Globe Series Championship and marking the return of the solo sailor to the circuit.
The event will take place between Port-la-Forêt and Concarneau, at the heart of an area that is emblematic of ocean racing, where the whole bay and the maritime ecosystem are mobilised around this demanding competition.
For the first time, Port-la-Forêt will be hosting the event, confirming its status as the cradle of ocean racing and a major training centre for skippers within the Finistère Course au Large cluster. The IMOCA boats usually train here, but to see them in competition is a rare and symbolic moment. This exceptional technical and maritime setting will provide the sailors with an ideal arena in which to measure themselves, refine their strategies and launch their season.
Entertainment for all, starting village, autograph session, conference, concert... Detailed programme on the website.
