The woman at the heart of the programme
This year, Le Nautile’s programme focuses on female creativity. With the theme “Why devote a cultural season to women artists?”, the cultural centre wants to remind us that, despite advances, women are still under-represented in the world of culture. The aim of this season is to give them their rightful place, whatever their discipline: music, theatre, dance, prose, DJing or memory.
Highlights include
- Wonderbraz (concert) – 20 September 2025: a musical and choreographic journey, a polyphony of voices and dances from around the world, celebrating the words and bodies of women.
- Grand Bruit (hip-hop concert) – 24 October 2025: a collective from Nantes led by Pumpkin, who are rethinking rap as a daring, activist and festive collective.
- Immobile et Rebondi (dance & circus) – 15 December: a show for young audiences combining inventiveness, visual poetry and humour.
- Burlesk – Les demoiselles du K Barré – 20 December: a crazy, sparkling and committed cabaret that questions the codes of the genre with humour and daring.
- Sois parfaite et t’es toi (theatre) – 31 January: a comedy that plays on the contrast between the women of yesterday and today, mixing laughter with reflection on social expectations.
- Plus: Caroline Paget & Pêr Vari Kervarec, The Magic Beam Sisters & Robert, Eben… all invited to talk about the place, identity, memory and expressive power of women. La Forêt-Fouesnant
There’s more to this season than just shows: the media library is playing a full part, with meetings, lectures, screenings, workshops and a big media library festival to bring everyone together to read and share culture.
