Kerleven beach bathing water quality

Analysis report Water quality

The quality of the bathing water at Kerleven beach is monitored regularly throughout the year by the Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS).

These analyses are used to check for the presence of micro-organisms that could pose a health risk to bathers. The results are classified according to a quality scale (excellent, good, sufficient, insufficient).

To guarantee transparency and keep the public informed, the latest results are displayed at the beach entrances. They allow everyone to enjoy bathing in complete safety and find out about the health of the site.

Tide times

Tides are the regular rise and fall of sea level. They are mainly caused by the attraction of the Moon and, to a lesser extent, that of the Sun.

The tidal phenomenon

Twice a day, the sea rises (high tide) and then falls again (low tide). The amplitude of these movements varies according to the position of the Moon and the Sun: we speak of spring tides when the tides are very strong (often during the full moon and the new moon), and neap tides when they are weaker.
