Following health checks carried out on shellfish, fishing on foot has been banned since 4 February 2026 at Kerleven beach in La Forêt-Fouesnant by municipal decree 2026-019PA.
The order is listed on the Pêche à pied Responsable website and displayed at the entrances to Kerleven beach in La Forêt-Fouesnant.
TheAgence Régionale de Santé (ARS) is informing the public that fishing on foot at Kerleven beach is prohibited. This ban follows health checks which revealed levels of shellfish contamination that could present a risk to human health.
As a precautionary measure, it is forbidden to collect or consume shellfish and other shellfish products from this area. The ARS reminds people of the importance of complying with these recommendations in order to prevent any health risk.
