The tourist office
The La Forêt-Fouesnant tourist office has embarked on a voluntary and structured process to obtain the Tourisme & Handicap label, a national mark that officially recognises the quality of the welcome and accessibility of tourist facilities for all, particularly for people with disabilities.
On 17 December 2025, the La Forêt-Fouesnant tourist office was awarded the label for the 4 main types of disability: motor, visual, hearing and mental.
Since moving into its new premises in March 2021, the La Forêt-Fouesnant Tourist Office team has been working hard every day to make its reception facilities accessible to all. The building has been designed to be accessible to different types of disability, with particular attention paid to pathways and the ergonomics of the space to facilitate circulation and access.
To meet the requirements of the label, staff have put in place a series of adapted facilities and services:
- Desks at different levels to accommodate people standing or in wheelchairs,
- Comfortable furniture (chairs, benches) for waiting or receiving information,
- A magnetic induction loop for the hearing impaired,
- Visual aids such as a magnifying glass,large-print documents and Braille,
- A document in FALC (easy to read and understand) to better meet the needs of people with comprehension difficulties. La Forêt-Fouesnant
Trained staff
As well as fitting out its facilities, the tourist office has also made training its reception team a priority. All the staff have taken a number of specific training courses to better understand the expectations and needs of visitors with disabilities and to ensure a friendly, appropriate and professional welcome.
