Description

Permanent exhibition: Luxury yachting and the birth of seaside tourism. In a recreated early 20th-century setting, a whole way of life by the sea is brought to life. 1930s-style beaches, seaside hotels, films, period photographs, model boats, scale models and beach toys transport visitors into the world of seaside leisure, as if into a book of seaside memories. Every year, local artists exhibit their works on the theme of the sea on the ground floor of the museum. Open Thursday to Monday (excluding public holidays, except in summer): 10am–1pm and 2pm–6pm. Free admission. Booking required for groups.
