Haras National d'Hennebont

Rue Victor Hugo, 56700 Hennebont
The little town of Hennebont on the banks of the River Blavet has an amazing medieval history. Classified as a « Cité d’Art en Bretagne », it is also very well-known for its stud farm (Haras) which has the honour of being the capital of Breton shire horses. The ‘Haras’ along with its famous work horses offers a super programme of riding shows and displays, orchestrated by resident artists and professional riders. Ever since its creation in 1857, the Haras has been a fervent exponent of the special link between men and horses through exhibitions and unusual events including acrobatics, dressage and side-saddle riding shows all year round. Visit the stables, forge and saddlery and take a guided tour to find out the secrets of the magnificent stables. Young children can have their first pony ride in the grounds. There’s something for everyone !
