The handles Inlets

Natural landscapes rich in exceptional local flora and fauna help to enhance this Breton paradise!

The GR34 coastal path allows you to discover all the treasures of these three inlets on foot.

Anse de La Forêt

The Anse de La Forêt reveals the richness of the local heritage, inviting walkers to explore the two-kilometre loop on the GR 34. They can enjoy the unique flora and fauna typical of this tidal inlet. Along the shores, architectural gems such as the Mesmeur manor house and the Peniti chapel stand out. Stone houses lined with hydrangeas and old sailing ships create an enchanting Breton picture. In Port-la-Forêt, the tinkling of ropes adds to the magic, where sailors and fishermen rub shoulders, offering a captivating maritime spectacle.

Anse de Penfoulic

Sheltered between the Vieux-Port of La Forêt-Fouesnant and Cap Coz, the Penfoulic cove offers a rich and soothing environment, ideal for migratory birds who come here to find refuge thanks to the mild Breton climate and abundant food. Beneath the surface, a 15-hectare shellfish park is home to a variety of molluscs, such as cockles, mussels, clams and oysters, which grow calmly with the rhythm of the tides. Visitors can also buy shellfish from the two local fish markets, Les Viviers de Penfoulic and La Forêt.

Anse de Saint Laurent

Anse Saint-Laurent, a veritable natural gem, seduces walkers with its luxuriant flora and rich fauna. This exceptional site offers one of the most beautiful walks in the region. As the seasons change, as you follow the banks lined with beech, oak and chestnut trees, you can watch little egrets, cormorants, swans and kingfishers in the shelter of the peaceful coves. Gourmets will not be outdone, as the region is ideal for fishing on foot, as well as mushroom and chestnut picking. An unforgettable experience for all!
