Kerleven beach fine white sand

La Forêt-Fouesnant’s main beach is a kilometre-long stretch of fine sand. Largely sheltered from the wind, Kerleven beach is ideal for swimming and relaxing.

Water sports activities

Kerleven beach is the ideal place to enjoy the sea and sunshine while taking part in a variety of water sports. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or just looking to relax, there’s something for everyone: water-walking, towed buoys, kitesurfing, paddle-boarding, kayaking…

Fishing on foot

Fishing on foot is not recommended on Kerleven beach. For further information.

Nature outings to discover the foreshore are organised by the tourist office.

Kerleven beach regulations

  • In July and August, Kerleven beach is supervised and accessible to people with reduced mobility. A tiralo and a hippocampus are available at the lifeguard post (open from the last Saturday before the summer school holidays to the penultimate Sunday of the summer holidays from 1.30pm to 7.30pm).
  • Smoking is not permitted on the beaches.
  • Shellfish harvesting is not recommended on Kerleven beach in summer.
  • Under municipal by-law no. 2023-022 PA, dogs and other domestic animals are banned from the beaches all year round. Horses are permitted on the foreshore from 1 October to 31 May.
