S’assurer de ses propres murmures | Cirque et musique

Collectif Petit Travers Together, Julien Clément, the juggler, and Pierre Pollet, the musician, sought to explore an intimate aspect of language: the whisper. A whisper is a word shared only at very close quarters, in a spirit of trust. ‘S’assurer de ses propres murmures’ is both a circus performance and a concert. One juggles, the other plays the drums. In this duo, where image and sound are inseparable, listening is mutual. The audience, too, pricks up their ears, scrutinising every gesture, every rhythm. Whilst the virtuosity is undeniable, this show celebrates, in a uniquely singular way, simplicity, childlike vitality and a shared connection.
