Yet it profoundly affects the lives of individuals, influenced by personal, social and cultural factors. Charlotte Debest, a doctorate in sociology and author of a book on not wanting children, will look at the different dimensions of not wanting children, exploring the issues of freedom of choice, persistent stereotypes and the normalisation of varied life paths.
