The Forest & Sea Cool offers a forest activity programme on Wednesday mornings from 10.15am to 12.00pm for children aged 0 to 5, accompanied by one or more parents (see rates) in Primelin. In the form of workshops lasting around an hour and a half, children sing, play, cook over an open fire, handle, discover, laugh, climb, speak Breton and create nature memories!
The two nature educators prepare the forest so that it is inviting for games and free exploration, more or less guided by us. Parents are also involved, inviting them to observe, play and read, while respecting their children's impulses. At least one herbal tea is cooked over the fire, and the children are invited to smell it, discover it and often make it up themselves, under the guidance of Florence, the herbalist.
We love the mix of ages in this 0-5 workshop, which encourages children to learn from each other.
The idea is to enable children, their parents and grandparents to develop and share their awareness of nature, and to enjoy simple moments for themselves, but also together. Using the natural environment to learn, grow and bond.
