Latvia's expertise in stop motion animation is back. When this perfect, world-renowned technique is combined with 4 mischievous short films, the result is a wonderful programme that will delight young and old alike. A perfect package for a first contact with cinema and its darkened rooms. The importance of living together, both between humans and between man and nature, is highlighted in this delightful programme. The puppets, created using top-quality craftsmanship, are particularly successful and make the characters utterly endearing.
The animation was largely produced at the Folimage studios in Drôme and the JPL studios in Rennes! We're blown away by the film's production, entirely in paper cut-outs, a singular technique and quite a feat. We're captivated by this funny adventure in the countryside, which focuses on friendship, family, nature and animals. The modernity of the setting and the characters makes their story even more familiar. An adventure with a capital A for young and old alike, The Secret of the Chickadees gives us the chance to share a delightful moment with the whole family...
