Lecture by Daniel Guyader, member of the "Mémoire et Patrimoine" association, Friday 10 April at 6pm.
After the euphoria of the liberation, which was marked by both joy and pain, it was time to rebuild the towns that had been destroyed. In Brittany, the towns of Brest, Lorient and Saint Nazaire saw their territories wiped out and their populations dispersed.
The example of Lorient is particularly interesting; the city that is being rebuilt will see an architectural and social upheaval.
This is what the conference will highlight.
Admission is free, subject to availability (limited capacity).
