This concert presents songs created by seafarers about their experiences on board and fishing techniques over the period from 1725 to 1980. Through song and anecdotes, the show evokes whale, tuna, cod and herring fishing.... and will be accompanied by reworked photos illustrating the atmosphere on board sailing ships and trawlers.
The L'Armée du Chalut collective: 8 singer-musicians from Normandy, Vendée, Poitou and Brittany will be on stage to sing and accompany the texts on the hurdy-gurdy, clarinet, concertina, accordion, violin and shruti-box. "The musical crew includes Pascal Servain, Michel Colleu, Emmanuel Pariselle, Bernard Subert, Brigitte Kloareg, Sylvie Guiner, Maurice Artus and Gael Rolland.
