Description
Ushant is the largest of the Finistère islands, and the best way to get the most out of it is to stay for two days (or more!). This authentic island will reveal its majestic landscapes as you follow the coastal path (32km around the island). From here, you can also observe the rich fauna (particularly seabirds) that the Iroise Marine Park is home to.
Five lighthouses (two on land, three at sea), including the mighty Creac'h lighthouse, protect the Atlantic's busiest shipping lane. They give the island's nights that unforgettable magic. The unique Musée des phares et balises (Lighthouses and Beacons Museum) will tell you more about these guardians of the sea.
With its surprisingly shaped rocks, sheep shelters and beautiful wild beaches, the island is also a bird paradise. The moving Niou eco-museum invites you to discover the island's habitat and way of life.
On the gastronomic front, you can enjoy lamb stew cooked in the clods. A real treat!
