Between Ouessant Island and the waters around Brest, stop off on the island of Molène, the main island in an archipelago of nine. This little island is located in the heart of the Iroise Marine Park and is a paradise for nature-lovers, as it is home to an especially rich diversity of wildlife including seabirds, otters and grey seals. All around the island there is a coastal path offering viewpoints across the tiny islands of the archipelago, which are covered and uncovered with each tide. As you stroll along, stop off at the Semaphore where the interactive exhibition will tell you all about the history of this place, including coastal lifeguarding and the sinking of the Drummond Castle (1896). Make the most of this getaway to taste the fabulous Molène sausage, smoked over seaweed for a unique flavour.
