Forest Cove

Forest Cove

Anse de la Forêt

Anse de La Forêt offers a good overview of the great richness of the forest heritage. Walkers will be able, during these two kilometers of loop via the GR 34, to admire a wildlife and flore specific to this arm of the sea cradled by the tides.

Remarkable buildings line the banks, such as the Mesmeur's mansion of the 18th century, the Chapel of Peniti of the 18th century, and the church Our Lady Izel Vor  and its 16th century Calvary. The stone houses adorned with blue and pink hydrangeas and the old sailing ships make Old Port a nice Breton shot.

With background music the tinkling of the ropes on the mast of the many boats, Port-la-Foret – the marina of La Forêt-Fouesnant – is also a marvel for the eyes thanks to the variety of ships it houses.

From the small speedboats of yachtsmen to the gillnets of fishermen, passing by the immense racing sailboats of the famous skippers, we no longer know where to turn!

Good to know: the coastal path around the cove is suitable for pushchairs.

But not all the activity just takes place on the surface. In the water of this arm of the sea, there are no less than 15 hectares of shellfish park which are implanted. Phone cases, Mussels, clams, Oysters and other molluscs grow there peacefully to the rhythm of the tides.
