8°6 Crew For over 20 years, 8°6 Crew have been performing on the ska, reggae and punk-rock scenes in France and across Europe. The band’s identity is forged by their solid rhythm section, their powerful brass section and Charly’s raw, honest lyrics. Their influences include the Two-Tone era of 1980s ska (The Specials, Madness), the Third Wave (The Busters, Mr Review, The Toasters) and, for reggae, the 1970s and 1980s work of Sly & Robbie, the Twinkle Brothers, Toyan and Yellowman. The trio? Grey Mamba is a DJ/Selecta who spins tracks from his vinyl collection, whilst Redge Hope accompanies him on keyboards and piano, and Gabriel EarlyHemp writes the lyrics and sings. But their passion also drives them to create original tracks. But of course, their greatest pleasure is meeting people and getting everyone dancing during their live sessions!
